Tip 44 is a very unusual tip.  On some devices, the baseport is wide enough for the entire tip to seat properly, however, in other devices, it is designed for the tip to hang off the side (see image below).  Even when it hangs off the side, it still snaps in firmly and has a secure attachment.  Often customers instinctively think the incorrect tip has been sent to them, however, it really works, it's just unusual (please note that Gomadci does not design the tips, the hardware manufacturers do!).
